Help I need some teenage dating advice?

I’m a 17 year old high school student. Because of circumstances that i won’t bother to explain now, I don’t have much experience with dating and girls. There’s this girl that I like and about a week ago i got her phone number. Last night I asked her to do something over the weekend and she said yes. We were going to go to the movies, but then we decided to go to a play taking place at the school tonight together.
I know this is obviously a good thing and a step in the right direction, but I need advice and help figuring out what it means. Do you think it’s obvious that this is a date? What if she thinks that we’re just hanging out as friends and their’s nothing more to it? Does she like me, and how am I supposed to find out if she does? When do I officially tell her I like her and how long is it before we become a couple (assuming things go well and work out). I really need some advice fast. Please help me.

Well first off, hello!

“Do you think it’s obvious that this is a date?”
- It is a date, since you two went out together.

“What if she thinks that we’re just hanging out as friends and there’s nothing more to it?”
- If she does think this, play it cool, don’t ask her yet because she’ll just feel awkward; but since it’s a first date she might think of it like a friend date.

“Does she like me, and how am I supposed to find out if she does?”
- Like I said, it’s a first date, chances are that she might feel something towards you since she didn’t reject you. And you can find out by asking, but I suggest you get to know her better and then ask her later on.

“When do I officially tell her I like her and how long is it before we become a couple (assuming things go well and work out).”
- You can officially tell her you like her when you feel ready, once you know her well, been on a couple of dates with and you’re sure with your feelings, then tell her! If she likes you back you can officially be together. (You don’t have to wait to become a couple if you both like eachother)

Just be nice, be a gentlemen and treat her with respect. If she’s a good girl, she’ll love that! Most importantly: Be yourself!
